All paper documents and electronic information files are stored in a secure environment, safeguarded by password protected hardware, physical access controls and information access authorization controls.

How We Use Information:

Adoption Rhode Island requires that your personal information be held in strict confidence. We use your information only for its intended business purpose. In compliance with state and federal law and guided by agency contractual agreements, some information may be shared with other child welfare agencies as part of our mission to achieve permanency for children, support families and advocate for the safety and well-being of children. We do not sell or trade your information to other third party organizations or individuals.

If you choose to send us email, we may retain the contents of your email message, our reply and your email address as part of our ongoing customer service efforts. We reserve the right to contact you after you have contacted us and may send future email, surveys and/or direct mail to you for the purpose of providing or gathering additional information about Adoption Rhode Island. We keep your personal information as accurate, complete, and up to date as is required to fulfill the purpose(s) for which you provided us with your personal information.
