Considering Adoption

Considering adoption but aren’t sure where or how to begin? Adoption Rhode Island will help you through the process!

Although most are school-age children, generally between the ages of 5 and 18,  an increasing number of younger children are coming in to care as well.  These children deeply want a chance for love in a happy, permanent family setting.  We invite married and single adults of any race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation to apply.  Most importantly, we are looking for families that can make a life-long commitment to provide a safe, loving home to a child. There is no cost to adopt any of these children.

Please take a few minutes to listen to Beth Capron, Manager of Adoption & Permanency Services at Adoption RI, to learn more about becoming a pre-adoptive family and the processes that follow.

If you would like to find out more about adopting a child from state care and you live in Rhode Island, please click in-state process. If you live out of state, please click out-of-state process.

Whichever path you choose, we wish you much happiness on your journey. Adoption is a wonderful way to build a family!
